Favorite Restaurants

I'm a foodie at heart and will pretty much spend my paycheck eating out almost every day. Sometimes I like to think that if I didn't spend that much money on food, I'd be able to afford better cable... Thus, I've decided to add a list of my favorite restaurants in both San Francisco and Boston.

San Francisco:

R&G Lounge--Chinatown
This place has the best salt & pepper crab. A must have whenever I go back. You will have to make a reservation otherwise it gets really crowded.

Crustacean Restaurant--Nob Hill
Singaporean styled black pepper crab and garlic noodles are the two best dishes at this place. You don't necessarily need a reservation for this place.

One Market
--Financial District
Expensive but good American food. Must make a reservation and dinner time would be great. It has a great view of the Ferry building. Dressy.

Perbacco--Financial District
Italian restaurant. Avg. price is about $15-20 per plate. But their sister restaurant which is much much cheaper is right next door. (I forget the name)

Pier 23 Cafe--Embarcadero
Seafood/dive bar-esque place to hang out

Kuleto's Italian Restaurant--Union Square
I love eating breakfast here! Never tried their lunch or dinner but the menu looks yummy.

Blondie's pizza--Union Square
Love. Love. Love. This is a stop and go place so it's casual if you're walking around union square and get a little hungry.

Boulevard--Embarcadero
Super expensive but good. Dressy.

Woodhouse Fish Co.---Fillmore district and Market St
Goooood seafood and there is a great froyo shop right next door.

The Grove--Fillmore district
Great sandwiches and salad!!!

Boston:

Eastern Standard--Kenmore Square
Love everything about this place. Great service, drinks, food,  and dessert! Never been disappointed!

Stellas--South End
All you gotta do is try their cesear salad and pasta! LOVE pasta. pro tip: get half portions of 2 pastas and viola-best of both worlds

Barcelona--South End (Brookline as well)
Probably one of the best places for drinks. Excellent, excellent drinks and good snacks.

Aquitaine--South End
French. They have a great $9.95 special brunch on Saturdays and 10am-11am on Sundays. This special includes a warm cinnamon bun, the basic breakfast such as an omlette or eggs, toast, a fresh glass of orange juice, and bottomless coffee. Their dinner menu is great as well--Steak frites! Do make a reservation.

Beehive--South End
French. Check out their website to find their events calendar. Great place for jazz and drinks. Must try their poutine! Do make a reservation.

Sonsie--Back Bay
Probably one of my favorites for brunch and dinner. Do make a reservation

Scoozi--Back Bay
Deeelicious thin crust pizzas. Favorite: Prosciutto and Mozzarella!

Trattoria Toscana--Fenway
Quaint little Italian restaurant located in the Fenway area. Seats no more than 15-20 people. Cheap, authentic, and delicious--what more could you ask for?

Henrietta's Table--Cambridge
One of my favorite restaurants in the area. Fresh produce and decent prices. Avg price per dish is $15. Try their grilled pork chop!

75 Chestnut--Beacon Hill
Small, American food restaurant. Good bar

Border Cafe--Cambridge
Favorite Mexican place. Cheap, big portions and yummy margaritas!

JoJo Taipei's--Allston
The most authentic Taiwanese restaurant in the Boston area (including Chinatown!). Must order their xiao-long bao's which are soup dumplings.

ShabuZen--Chinatown
Shabu Shabu is a DIY style restaurant. You are given a basic chicken broth in which you can cook your own meat, seafood, vegetables, and/or noodles in your broth. Great to eat during winter time. Definitely get a smoothie--I recommend either Watermelon or Avocado.

Hei La Moon--Chinatown
The BEST dim sum in Boston. Beat the rush and go by 11:30am!

Flour Bakery and Cafe--South End, Cambridge, Fort Point
Great sandwiches and delicious baked goods! Try the cornmeal lime cookie and sticky buns.

Miscellaneous:

Tutto Italiano--Wellesley, MA and Hyde Park, MA
I absolutely love their sandwiches!! Try the parma! Prosciutto, Mozzarella, Basil..yum.

Wellesley Bakery Cafe--Wellesley, MA
Great salads and sandwiches. Grilled Chicken salad is the best!
